Member check-in

Check-in is the starting point of every visit. The system handles both returning members and first-time walk-ins in the same flow.

1
ID scan

Scan the AAMVA PDF417 barcode on any US or Canadian driver's license. The system reads the encoded data automatically. If the barcode is unreadable or damaged, an OCR camera fallback lets you capture the information visually.

2
Member lookup

Returning member: The system finds their account, verifies membership status, checks for flags (bans, suspensions, warnings, outstanding balances), and proceeds to visit creation.

First-time visitor: A new member account is created from the ID data. The Host selects a membership tier and the member is ready to go.

3
Bracelet & QR

An NFC bracelet is assigned from available inventory. The customer-facing display shows a QR code for push notification opt-in — no phone number or email required.

Member profiles are privacy-locked. Hosts can only access a member's profile while they have an active visit. No member directory, no browsing — the system protects member privacy structurally.
