Operations / Training mode

Training mode

Training mode is a built-in sandbox that lets staff learn the entire system without touching real data. It looks and feels exactly like the real app — same screens, same flows, same bracelet taps — but every action happens in a safe practice environment.

How it works

Toggle on
Shadow club loads
Practice everything
Toggle off

When a staff member enters training mode, the system loads a shadow club — a complete demo environment with sample members, visits, rentals, and tasks. Every check-in, checkout, bracelet assignment, task completion, and room change happens in the sandbox. Nothing touches real data.

The interface is identical to production. Staff build real muscle memory on the actual screens they'll use every shift. When they toggle back, they're ready.

What you can practice

Check-in & checkout
Full front desk workflow — scan an ID, create a visit, assign a bracelet, process a checkout with charges.
Room assignments
Browse the floor map, assign rooms, handle multi-member visits, process room changes mid-visit.
Task completion
Pick up cleaning, maintenance, and support tasks. Complete them, earn practice points, see how the review queue works.
Enforcement scenarios
Practice handling flagged members — bans, suspensions, outstanding balances. See what the Host screen looks like and what the member-facing display shows.

Visual indicator

Training mode displays a persistent banner across the top of every screen so there's never any confusion about whether you're in practice or production. The banner is impossible to miss — it stays visible on every page, every overlay, every modal.

Training mode actions are logged separately. Managers can see which staff have practiced, how long they spent, and which features they used — but training data never mixes with real operational data.

When to use it

New staff onboarding
New hires practice the full workflow before their first real shift. Check in a sample member, assign a room, process a checkout — all without risk.
Pre-launch preparation
Before go-live, every staff member runs through their role in training mode. The manager report card tracks who has practiced and who still needs time.
Feature previews
When new features are released, staff can try them in training mode before using them with real members. Bottom-up adoption — staff get comfortable on their own schedule.
Manager demos
Show prospective staff or ownership what the system does without exposing real member data. A safe environment for internal audiences.

Manager report card

The training report card gives managers visibility into staff readiness. It tracks time spent in training, features exercised, and completion milestones. This feeds directly into rollout planning — you can see at a glance who's ready and who needs more practice before launch day.

Training mode is the safest way to build confidence. Staff who've practiced in the sandbox are noticeably calmer and faster during their first real shifts. It's the difference between reading the manual and doing the work.
