Task system / Task templates
Task templates
A template is a blueprint. You define what "good" looks like once — the name, role, time budget, points, and recurrence — and every task created from it inherits those standards.
Example template
Name
Restock towels — pool area
Assigned role
Cleaner
Time budget
15 minutes
Base points
50 pts
On-time bonus
+20% (10 pts)
Recurring
Daily at 6:00 AM, 2:00 PM
Key behaviors
Snapshotting: Time budget and points are copied onto the task at creation. Changing the template later doesn't rewrite history.
Opt-in at two levels: The club enables incentives globally, and each template individually toggles points. You can have pointed cleaning tasks and unpointed maintenance tasks.
Recurrence: Templates can generate tasks on a schedule. They appear in the queue for staff to claim like any other task.
Ad-hoc tasks (no template) can never earn points. No template = no budget = no score. This prevents gaming — if it's worth points, a manager needs to have defined the standards first.
