Access & enforcement
Two independent settings let you configure exactly how much structure your club needs around staff access and timekeeping. Use one, both, or neither.
The two settings
Can staff access the app outside their scheduled shift? When on, the app locks outside of scheduled hours and shows a screen with the staff member's next shift time. When off, staff can access the app anytime.
Must staff have an active timecard to use the app? When on, a modal overlay intercepts any action and prompts clock-in before proceeding. When off, the system shows a gentle nudge but allows actions with a null timecardId in the audit log.
How they combine
Grace period
A configurable grace period (in minutes) allows staff to clock in slightly before their shift starts. A Host arriving 10 minutes early shouldn't be locked out of the app if they want to get set up.
Who's subject to enforcement?
Everyone — including Managers and Owners. If the setting is on, it applies to all roles. This is intentional: if you exempt management, your labor cost data has a hole in it. If a club wants full accountability, they get full accountability.
